From what I have gathered, Dyshidrotic Eczema occurs as a rare, blistering skin condition on the palms of hands & fingers or soles of feet and toes. Symptoms vary from person to person and range from mild to severe. It can include itching and/or burning sensations within the affected area, although my husband does not experience that, fortunately. After the blister bubbles (Pompholyx) dry out, the skin around the blister will crust and crack resulting in peeling and scaling of layers of skin. Recurrence is common and often chronic. It is not contagious but it looks ugly and can be painful. For people who are affected by the itchiness and burning sensations, in addition to its unsightly appearance in severe cases, it can be psychologically draining (MayoClinic). Did I mention this is a chronic and recurring condition? So the cycle just repeats over and over.
